The Introduction of the Special Issue

This special issue Insight-Chemistry is devoted to the problem of assessing the quality of different types of water-drinking, river, bottled, tap. There will also be considered the problems of biomonitoring water quality, the use of biotests to determine toxicity and the effect of water on living organisms. This issue contains articles on such areas: biology, biochemistry, microbiology, toxicology and ecology.

1: Evaluation of water quality using test organisms.

2: Determination of the toxicity of heavy metals in drinking water.

3: Cytotoxic activity of water from different sources of water supply.

4: An alternative method for assessing the quality of drinking water.

5: Biochemical analysis of warm-blooded animals in case of poisoning with toxicants.

6: Environmental monitoring of natural waters.

7: Cytogenotoxic indicators of test organisms when using packaged water.

 

Submission guidelines

All papers should be submitted via the Insight-Chemistry submission system:

Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.

Dr Maya Vergolyas is the associate professor of Department Fundamental disciplines with the course of pharmacology in International Academy of Ecology and Medicine of Ukraine.

The main interest fields including the bioassay of water environment using test organisms; investigations of water for various purposes at the cellular level using animal and plant biomarker.
