Multiple energy storage performance of efficient power strategy

2019-03-18

The Introduction of the Special Issue

A clean, renewable energy is essential in order to avoid energy dependency from fossil fuel. Due to that an  Energy storage technology plays a vital toward sustainability. The are many types of the energy storages, such as the battery, supercapacitor and flywheel. Each the storages have their own merit and demerit respectively. In the cases of the batteries provide high specific energy but moderate to low cyclic rate and long recharge time. Moreover  the energy storage of supercapacitor is extremely fast in charging and discharging condition and has high power density. In this proposal, the main purposes are that to analyze the performance of the multiple energy storage systems at the device level with respect to the application need. The characteristics of different types of the multiples of the energy storages  designs are to be investigated individually and subsequently circuitry analysis based on passive and active topology are to be performed. The application-driven test supported by modelling, crucial to the best design and implementation will reveal the characteristics and performance of the proposed system operates at various operating environment.
