The Lead Guest Editor

Narsimha Mamidi

Dr. Narsimha Mamidi has received Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and Master of Science (Organic Chemistry) from India. In 2014, he has received his PhD in Bio-Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. During his PhD, he designed and synthesized various novel biological organic molecules to investigate their interactions with protein kinase C (PKC). Dr. Mamidi also has received 2014-Eli-Lilly Outstanding Thesis Award from Eli-Lilly Company, USA. He then moved to ITESM, Monterrey Campus, Mexico for a postdoctoral position (2015-2018) in advanced biomaterials and nanotechnology. He developed several biomaterials for drug release, tissue-engineering, and biomedical applications. Mexico.
Currently, Dr. Mamidi is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Science (Department of Chemistry and Nanotechnology) at ITESM, Mexico. His current research focuses on developing lab-grown tissue/organ replacements for human transplantation. The major focus is towards the following research areas:Advanced Biomaterials,Tissue Engineering,Drug Delivery Devices,3D Disease Tissue Models.
