Call for Papers for the Special Issue: Insight - Mathematics

The Introduction of the Special Issue

A camera sensor as it is broken down into parts in common has the following parts:

• Various properties of the electro-magnetic spectrum, within which the camera as a sensor operates

• Lens or an array of lenses

• Imager with multiple sensitivities and resolutions

• Processing to convert light into electric signals and thus into digital signal

• Algorithms (standard and intelligent) to convert the digital signals to interesting applications for various use-cases

• Processors, with various compute power which hosts various algorithm Etc.

There are innumerable possibilities of research capabilities in each of the above topics individually. However, I haven’t seen much focussed journals in the field of camera technologies which is biologically inspired yet.

I would like to bring it to your special attention that we capitalize on this focus area and thus grow a closer link to the medical fields and engineering technologies.

The uses of these cameras are potentially seen in multiple robotics applications.

There is potentially a scope of making this special edition, into a regular edition of the journal, provided we get a good response to begin with.
