In recent years, the design of low voltage and low power CMOS circuits has been of paramount importance in the area of VLSI design. This is motivated by the power constraints and the advanced deep submicron CMOS technologies which require low supply voltages often less than 1 Volt. Many VLSI applications such as biomedical implantable or wearable electronic devices, autonomous sensor nodes supplied with nonconventional energy, satellite communication equipment, Internet of Things networks and other similar applications requires circuits operating from very low supply voltage and having ultra-low power consumption.
