The Introduction of the Special Issue

The Insight-Engineering and Technology is an international peer-reviewed open access journal promoting the discovery, innovation, advancement and dissemination of basic and transitional knowledge in engineering, technology and related disciplines. Our vision is to be the world's most dominant and extensively read engineering and technology journal. Our mission is to lead the debate on engineering and technology to engage, inform, and inspire researchers and professionals in order to streamline economic and broad-spectrum benefits of engineering, science and technology. We aim to revolutionize industry and institutes by promoting legitimate and effective research. We have a global reach with users submitting and downloading several publications from our website.

Insight-Engineering and Technology is an open access journal. All content is freely available without charge to the user or an institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

All papers should be submitted via the Insight - Engineering and Technology submission system: http://insight.piscomed.com/index.php/IET/index

Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.

The Lead Guest Editor

Dr Farooq Sher

Dr Farooq Sher is a Lecturer in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive Engineering at Coventry University, UK. He is having more than ten years of teaching and research experience in higher education. His undergraduate degree was in Chemical Engineering, followed by MSc Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds UK. He was awarded PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham UK. His PhD research was on the development of oxy-fuel combustion technology for carbon capture and storage (CCS). He has worked as a Research Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Nottingham. Dr Farooq Sher has published several research papers, book chapters and editorials apart from this he is the editor of different international scientific journals. He has reviewed hundreds of research papers for several high impact journals. Dr F. Sher has been awarded a top reviewer for Engineering in September 2018 from Publons Academy.
