The Introduction of the Special Issue

Video Coding and Analysis have become a multidisciplinary research area where expertise from psychophysics, applied information theory, software engineering, signal processing, and computer vision needs to be combined to go beyond the state-of-the-art. To meet the aforementioned high demands, the development of advanced Video Coding and Analysis technologies is critical and an essential component needed to satisfy the stringent requirements.

Mingliang Zhou

Mingliang Zhou received the B.S. degree in applied the School of Computer Science, Sichuan University of Science and Engineering, Zigong, China, in 2008, and the M.S. degree from thr School of Computer Science , Guizhou University, Guiyang, China, in 2011. The Ph.D. degree from Beijing University, Beijing, China, in 2017, in computer science.
Currently, he is a postdoctor of Computer Science and Engineering at City University Hong Kong.
His research interests include video coding and networking, image/video processing, and video analysis and undertaking.
